The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, ASUSS , Ekiti State Chapter has expressed the hope that the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in Ekiti State will be a dream come true for the people.

In a message in Ado Ekiti, ASUSS felicitated with Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his deputy, Mrs Monisade Afuye whom they described as the choices of overwhelming majority of Ekiti people.

The Statement signed by it’s Chairman,Comrade Sola Adigun and Secretary Comrade Adeola Augustine urged the governor to take decisive and far reaching steps to advance the progress of Ekiti State.

ASUSS is concerned about the transformation of the Education sector, which it believes begins with a well trained , renumerated and motivated teachers, as well as well equipped schools which can continually attract students.

The Union also charge the governor to promote local contents, use local materials and home grown measures to solve some.of the problems confronting the state.

While praying God to inspire the thought and actions of the Governor, ASUSS also appeals to the Governor to pay the outstanding salaries of Secondary Schools teachers.

It congratulates the immediate past Governor of the State, Dr Kayode Fayemi and his wife,Erelu Bisi Fayemi for their contribution to the Education development of the state.
